Yamdrok Lake

Yamdrok Lake is a unique natural scenic spot integrating plateau lakes, snow mountains, islands, pastures, hot springs, wildlife, temples, and other landscapes. Together with Namtso and Manasarovar, Yamdrok is known as the three major sky lakes in Tibet. There are also year-round insoluble snow mountains and ice peaks around it, the highest of which is more than 7,000 meters above sea level. Lakes, snowy peaks, and the blue sky blend together.

Yamdrok Lake is located in the plateau area in the southeast of Tibet, and is known as the "Pearl of Plateau". It is famous for its clear lake water, mysterious legends, and magnificent natural landscape. In the sun, the lake is deep blue, as if it were the soul eye of the earth. The peaks by the lake seem into the clouds, which set each other off with the blue sky and white clouds, forming a beautiful picture scroll. You can feel the tranquility and mystery of nature as if you were in a fairyland far away from the world.
