Day 1Wulong Karst Park

Start your day with lunch to fuel your adventure. Afterward, head to the Chongqing Wulong Tiansheng Three Bridges Scenic Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its colossal limestone bridges—Tianlong, Qinglong, and Heilong. Walk through the misty valley where Transformers 4 was filmed, marveling at natural arches spanning emerald gorges and waterfalls cascading from cliffs. Take the scenic elevator down to the valley floor for immersive views of karst landscapes.

Next, explore the Longshuixia Ground Crack Scenic Area, a 5-kilometer-long fissure carved by ancient geological shifts. Follow the shaded wooden walkways past moss-covered cliffs, underground streams, and the waterfall, where sunlight filters through narrow canyon walls to create ethereal reflections.

Day 2Fairy Mountain, Furong Cave, etc.

Begin your last day of the journey with breakfast amid the misty alpine meadows of Fairy Mountain National Forest Park , where you can take a leisurely stroll or ride the small train through its "Switzerland-like" landscapes of grasslands and snow-dusted peaks (seasonal).

Then we delve into the subterranean wonders of Furong Cave, a UNESCO-listed limestone marvel. Glide up via cable car to explore its 2,700-meter labyrinth of glittering stalactites, towering stone waterfalls, and the surreal Crystal Palace. Allow 2–3 hours to fully absorb its geological drama .

After lunch, visit Project 816, a Cold War-era underground nuclear complex turned museum.  Learning about its secretive military history and engineering feats .

Make a brief stop at White Horse Mountain Tianchi Love Scenic Area, a lesser-known spot offering tranquil riverside higher observation views and floral gardens—ideal for a quick photo break.

Conclude at Tiankeng Zhaizi, a cultural gem nestled within Wulong's karst terrain. Wander through Tujia ethnic villages, watch traditional hand-dancing performances, and marvel at the massive sinkholes that frame this living heritage site, reflecting on the day's blend of natural grandeur and human ingenuity.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
