Day 1Xian Arrival

Welcome to Xi'an, today your travel begins with a welcome meeting at airport. After checking in the hotel, rest of your time is free to explore the Charming Xi'an, an ancient city with a long history and colorful culture. There are many historical sites worth visiting.

Day 2Visit Mount Hua Scenic Area

Today after delighted buffet, you will visit the Mount Hua Scenic Area before being escorted back to Xi'an. Mount Hua is one of the Five Great Mountains in China, and it was once called the West Mountain in ancient times. It is known for being one of the most precipitous mountains in China.

After visiting, driving back to downtown hotel. Have a good rest.

Day 3Xi'an City Tour: Gaojia Courtyard - Muslim Quarter - Tang Paradise

Today is an another day to explore the history and culture in Xi'an

First we pay a visit toone of the most complete Han residential courtyard-- Gao courtyard, which is well preserved and mastery in pursuit of the art. Afterwards, wandering through the tight and interesting Muslim Quarter to experience the local lifestyle. Street vendors selling all sorts of goods from souvenirs, hand crafted products and local snacks. You need to bargain with the vendors if you are buying goods. Continue our sightseeing of Tang Paradise, which features numerous buildings, squares, and gardens, all incorporating features of traditional Tang Chinese architecture.

Then back to the hotel and have a good rest.

  • Gaojia Courtyard is a hundred-year-old official courtyard in Huimin Street.

  • Drive 46 mins ( 9 km ) from Xi'an Muslim Quarter to Tang Paradise.

  • It's only 30 minutes to take the underground from Bell Tower ( Zhonglou ) Station to Tang Paradise (no traffic jam risk).

Day 4Terracotta Warriors - Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor - Huaqing Hot Spring - Li Mountains - The Song of Everlasting Sorrow

Tour starts at 08:00 and then drive about 1 hour to the countryside of the Xi'an city and visit the most imposing historic site Terracotta Warriors, the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century, and pay avisit to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, situated underneath a 76-meter-tall tomb mound shaped like a truncated pyramid, which was constructed over 38 years.

Continue to Huaqing Hot Spring, also witnessed the famous romance of emperor Xuanzong and his concubine Yang Guifei. From here we can also enjoy the scenery of Li Mountains, the witness of the history of the Chinese nation. Evening we will enjoy the show "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow", which is the milestone works in our country's contemporary large-scale vocal music works.

Day 5Shaanxi Provincial History Museum - Big Wild Goose Pagoda - Xi'an City Wall - Bell Tower

Today is an another day to explore the history and culture in Xi'an.

First we pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum, a treasure trove for anyone interested in the art facts of Chinese history. Exhibits numerous unearthed cultural artifacts and represents the imposing image of a 13-dynasties capital.

Then head to ancient architecture and a holy place for Buddhists.- Big Goose Pagoda, the restored Buddha and building are beautiful with spectacular timber work and gilded features are recently built by donors, they make a fine job of explaining the role of Buddhism in China’s history.

Afterwards, head up to the Ancient City Wall, the most well-preserved city wall and the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Followed by the ancient Bell Tower, it is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems and the landmark of Xi'an. It is amazing to wander along the city wall with the bird's-eye view of the whole city.

  • Shaanxi Provincial History Museum is the perfect place to travel through time and witness the path of Xi'an's development.

  • It takes 11 minutes (4.2km) by car from Shaanxi Provincial Museum to Xi'an city wall.

  • It takes 4 mins ( 1.8 km )from the ancient City Wall to the Bell Tower.

  • Ancient City Wall and Bell Tower are the famous landmark buildings in Xi'an.

Day 6Visit Qian Tomb and Hanyang Tomb

Spend the other whole day exploring culture and customer in Xi'an.

First we pay a visit to Qian Tomb, lies on Liangshan Hill, about 80 kilometers from Xi'an. It took 23 years to complete Qian Tomb. 

Afterwards, head up to the Hanyang Tomb, which is the one of the largest ancient tombs of the Western Han Dynasty ever discovered.

Day 7 End of Tour

Today our journey comes to an end after a good breakfast. You will be transferred to the airport or train station based on your schedule.

Climate and Altitude

From March to October are the best time to travel to Xi'an. Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct is the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
