In the afternoon, our tour guide will bring you to visit the Summer Palace, it is an imperial garden consisting of a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in China. You can take the boat across the island and then walk over to the temple on the hill. The climb up the stairs might be a bit tired but so worth to enjoy the incredible view from the top.
The half-day private Hutong tour will start with the tea or Fermented Soya-bean Milk, fried dough cake (You Bing) or steamed buns (baozi) for breakfast at a local market.
Onward, you will take public transportation to a less travelled hutong area, where you will do feel like a native by walking through the lanes. Enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant or local family.
After that, you will visit the incredible Temple of Heaven - a vast sacred place to perform ceremonial rites on behalf of the Chinese nation, and now is a refreshment place for the locals to enjoy their free time.
A light breakfast at your hotel is suggested in case the local breakfast is unpalatable for you.
