Tianmen Mountain

At nearly 7.5km, the world's longest passenger cableway takes you direct from the heart of Zhangjiajie city to the lush summit of Tianmen Mountain. The views are undoubtedly breath-taking as you rise above dramatic limestone cliffs and burst through swirling mist banks to arrive in what feels like the heavens themselves.

Glass Bridge

Steps onto the structure, before striding, meandering and even lying 300 meters above the valley below. Daredevils can enjoy the world's highest bungee jump from the bridge, and fashionistas have evened turned parts of it into a catwalk.

Yuanjiajie

This mighty mountain is mainly composed of quartzite. Lush trees and foggy mountains cover this beautiful landscape. The fictional, floating rocks in the movie "Avatar" were inspired by the rocks of Yuanjiajie. Stand on the observation deck and gorgeous landscapes will spread out before you in all four directions. It really is a sight to behold.

TRIP NOTES

We will upgrade trains to 1st class where available if book the tour 5 months in advance of departure.
There is no problem to travel Silk Road during Ramadan.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
