Day 1Shanghai City Tour

Welcome to China's largest city---Shanghai, which means "go to the sea" in Chinese, has a long history as a gateway to China on the Yangtze River Delta. It is the largest economic and trade center in China, and one of the best places where you can experience the Chinese and Western culture.


Today our professional tour guide will meet you at your located hotel lobby, and your private day tour start from Shanghai Museum, which is located the centre of Shanghai in people's square, it is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. here you will learn more about the history and culture. Coming out from the Shanghai Museum, we will pay a visit to Yu Garden, it is a classical garden, which was built in Ming dynasty. Black tiles and white walls establish a nonchalant and simple keynote . The dainty style makes one feel comfortable, and each exquisite window lattice is telling its own story, serves the record of the past delicate life. Every piece of roof tile is passing a sort of affection of pride and memories.Next, we will travel to Jade Buddha Temple, A beautiful Buddhist temple constructed in 1882 housing two spectacular, imported, jade, Burmese Buddhas.


Walk along the well-known shopping area that offers a dizzying array of items--Nanjing Road Shopping Street, you can stroll around the Bund, this symbol of Shanghai is known worldwide as the "gallery of international architecture". Its assortment of buildings standing along the Huangpu River varying in height, color and architectural design make it one of the most magnificent skylines in the world. enjoy the scenery of Huangpu River.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
