Day 1Lijiang - Baoshan Stone City (140 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Baoshan Stone City, which means "Baoshan Baishizhai". The local residents are all built with rocks. The walls of the city are scaled. The roadways are vertical and horizontal. It is a Naxi village locates on a top of a steep mountain with cliff on all three sides, and one side is a stone slope directly inserted into the Jinsha River. There are only two stone gates in the North and South. It is a real city of natural danger. (Hiking Time: 3hours)

Then check in your home-run guesthouse, then walking down to the Jinsha River which is flowing down the village. After that, climb back and have a good rest, get ready and wait for the next day hiking tour.

Day 2Baoshan Stone City - Liuqing Village

After breakfast, take water and home-made cakes by the guesthouse with you and start your hiking tour from Shitoucheng to Liuqing Village (located on the edge of Baoshan Township) through Taiziguan, located 10 kilometers north of Baoshan Stone City, it is the only place for Baoshan Jingge ferry site to Lugu Lake adventure tour.

Day 3Liuqing Village - Fengke Village

After breakfast, continue your hiking tour to Fenke through three local villages, fields and goat groups. Fenke Village located the north end of the east of Yulong County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, the west and north sides are across the river from Shangri-La County and Muli County, Sichuan Province, respectively, forming a river-covered terrain on three sides

Day 4Fengke Village - Jinsha River - Labo Village - Cuiyi Village

After 40 minutes walking, you will arrive at the Jinsha River, where you will take a small wooden-structure boat through Jinsha River. Continue your hiking to Cuiyi Village.

Day 5Cuiyi Village - Zhuangzi - Yongning Village

After breakfast, continue your hiking tour to Yongning Village through primitive forest, running streams and villages.

Day 6Yongning Village - Lugu Lake Lige Village

The last day hiking tour from Yongning to Lige village near the Lugu Lake, check in your hotel and have a good rest

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
