Highlights

The car cuts through the dense forests of the Greater Khingan Range, birches and pines on both sides, and once in a while a clearing flashes past, the sunlight stretching tree shadows long across the ground.
Drive the Windmill Road near Manzhouli, white turbines lined up on both sides, their blades turning lazily overhead, the grassland stretching to the edge of the sky.
Stand for a while by Hulun Lake, the water stretching far out of sight, waves lapping the shore one after another, just like the sea, only without the salt in the air.
