Day 1The Bund & Nanjing Road

Welcome to Shanghai, the most cosmopolitan city and the financial centre of China. After your arrival in Shanghai, your private guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can stroll on the Bund to admire the architectural gallery, and hanging out at the China No. 1 shopping street - Nanjing Road. Later, you will visit the Jiangnan silk factory to see how silk is produced.

  • Shanghai has two international airports, Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport.

  • Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located in the western suburb of Shanghai, about 13 kilometres away from the city centre.

  • Pudong International Airport is located in the coastal area of Pudong, Shanghai, about 30 kilometres away from the city centre.

  • The Bund is the starting point of modern Chinese cities history.

  • It takes 20 mins ( 6.0 km ) from the Bund to Nanjing Road.

  • It takes 20 mins ( 4.8 km ) from Nanjing Road to the Jiangnan Silk Factory.

Day 2Yu Garden & Shanghai History

This morning, you will visit the Shanghai Museum, which is located the centre of Shanghai in people's square, it is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. here you will see the fine collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese artefacts. Coming out from the Shanghai Museum, our tour guide will bring you to visit Yu Garden, it is a classical garden, which was built in Ming dynasty. Afterwards, you can stroll in Yuyuan Market to buy some souvenirs for your families and friends.

In the evening you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to leave Shanghai.


Note:

  • Opening time of Shanghai Museum: 09:00-17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Monday.

  • It takes 12 mins ( 3.2 km ) from Shanghai Museum to Yu Garden.

  • Yuyuan Garden is a famous scenic spot and tourist attraction at home and abroad.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.


We offer beneficial Cancellation Policy to our customers.

  • Cancellation prior 15-29 days – 15% charge of the total land cost.

  • Cancellation prior 7-15 days – 30% charge of the total land cost.

  • Cancellation prior 2-7 days – 50% charge of the total land cost.

  • Cancellation prior 1-in the process of the tour – No refund unless it is agreed by SRT.
