No.1 Three-course of Tea

The Three-course of Tea represents the tea culture of the Bai people. It contains the bitter tea, sweet tea, and aftertaste tea. The Bai people use the tea to symbolize the process of human life: bitter, sweet, and aftertaste.


No.2 Zhoucheng Tie-Dye

The tie-dyes of the Bai ethnic group use hand-weaved white cloth and colors extracted from plants. It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006. People use needle and thread to make different folds in a cloth and put it into a dye vat several times until the color becomes darker. 


No.3 Half Way Hiking

Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the most popular tourist hikes in China. You will carry through a succession of side canyons and a series of cascading waterfalls, discover the hidden beauty.


No.4 Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

It is located in sourthern China and has been regarded as the closest alwyas-snowcapped mountain to the equator. The scenery is stunning no matter admiring from which angle. The beautiful Lijiang Ancient Town is just at the foot of the mountain.

Day 1Dali Arrival

Today you will catch the flight to Dali. You will met and transfer by your guide and driver to your hotel. Have a good rest.

Day 2Dali Sightseeing

In the morning, our guide will lead you to explore Dali Ancient Town. After, drive 20km to Xizhou, join the Three-course Tea Ceremony, it is most popular among Bai people which is served for distinguished guests. Continue to drive to Zhoucheng, various traditional customs are well preserved here. Visit a local Tie Dye Workshop, learn and make one by yourself. After, take the eco-friendly car to drive around and enjoy Erhai Lake.

Day 3 Dali to Shangrila

After breakfast, drive to Pudacuo Park, it is famous for well-preserved landscape, there are beautiful lakes, primitive forests, vast meadows, streams and more. Later, arrive at Shangrila, visit Dukuzong Ancient Town , and Guishan Park with the world biggest prayer wheel. Climb up to the temple on the top, enjoy the panoramic view of the city. At night, you can join locals dancing in the square.

Day 4Shangrila to Half Way

Drive to Songzanlin Monasteryto see the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, the castle like complex is also known as Little Potala Palace, experience the mystery and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Later, drive to Tiger Leaping Gorge , the deepest gorge in the world, visit Upper Gorge, enjoy the 2.6-kilometer along Jinsha River and the stone trail. After, drive to half way to stay overnight.

Day 5Half Way to Lijiang

Hike from Half Way to Tina's takes around 3 hours. Enjoy views of the towering snow-capped mountains, and embrace the small waterfall through the village and up a winding path. After that, take the vechile to drive to Lijiang.

Day 6Lijiang

After breakfast, drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take 25 minutes' cableway to Glacier Park, you will see the vegetations changes with ascending altitude. Walk along the plank road to reach 4680m and appreciate the fairyland with ice and snow. Take cableway down, drive to visit Blue Moon Valley with turquoise-colored water. Afterwards, drive to Yuhu Village, enjoy its unique architecture and culture seen nowhere else. The national geographic explorer-Joseph Rock stayed here over 20 years, visit the museum which was turned by his former residence.

Today you will be transferred to the airport and back to your sweet home, wish you have a pleasant home journey.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
