Day 1Irkeshtam Port to Kashgar

This private transfer will provide you the service between Irkeshtam Port and Kashgar.

Irkeshtam port is located in Wuqia County, Xinjiang, which is connected with Kyrgyzstan. It is also the westernmost land port in China. The working hours of Irkeshtam port are from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.


Your guide and driver will leave from Kashgar in the morning and arrive at Irkeshtam Port around 1:00 pm. The guide will pick you up from the port with a welcome board and assist you with the entry formalities, then set off by private vehicle to the located hotel in Kashgar. The transfer service from Kashgar to Irkeshtam Port is also available.


Traversing the beautiful natural landscape en route is the most exciting and splendid experience for you. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the hidden treasures of the ancient Silk Road - Kashgar. Night market is recommended for local dishes.

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
