13 Days In-Depth Sichuan Exploration

Today you will arrange an early flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, meet our professional guide and friendly driver at the airport. We will drive to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (or Chengdu Panda Base) It's one of the most popular destinations to see pandas. And it's a must-go place when travelers go to Chengdu.

Followed by a trip, we will do Chengdu City Exploration. Move on to the Wuhou Memorial Temple, which was built in the 6th century in memory of Emperor Liu Bei and the Prime Minister Zhuge Liang of the Shu Kingdom. Explore the Wenshu Monastery where you can sit in its tea house for a cup of traditional Chinese tea. Walkthrough the Jinli Old Street to admire the architecture and unique local fun. Enjoy Sichuan cuisine for dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Get up early, and we will drive about 2 hours to Suining. Upon arrival, visit Guangde Temple, which located in the Wolong Mountains to the west of the city; it is a famous temple with a long history. This important Buddhist Temple in southwest China attracts more and more visitors and worshipers for sightseeing and prays due to its long history and profound Buddhism culture.

Then we will be driving to Bazhong and head to the Nankan Scenic Area, located at Nankan Mountain in the southern suburb, containing Nankan Park and statues of the Buddha within a cliff face. Afterwards, drive to Guangyuan for overnight stay

Today we will pay a visit to Jianmen Shu Road (Jianmen Shudao), which is also known as the ancient plank road, was the primary pass from Central China to Southwest China through Shu (old name for Sichuan). The pass runs from Hanzhong City in Shaanxi to Chengdu. Jianmen Shu Road refers to the section of the ancient plank road near the Jianmen Pass. The Ancient Plank Road in Mingyue Gorge that was first built by the Qin States in the Warring States Period, which is the starting point of the ancient Jianmen Shu Road. Overnight stay in Jiuzhaigou

Your full-day scenic tour today is to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area to enjoy the green lakes, double waterfalls, snowy peaks, and colorful forests. Then, You can take the tourist bus to the top, when you get there, you can walk down part way and take the bus down the rest of the way.

Morning our professional tour guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and start the excursion with driving 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Scenic Area, which is famous for the layered calcium carbonated deposit, colorful lakes, snow-clad mountains, and virgin forest to visit the natural views and rare species. After the tour, you will drive to Chuanzhu Temple located in Songpan county for overnight stay

Morning we will drive about 3 hours to Zioge, visit Ruoergai Grassland, located in the northwest of Sichuan Province, is the large home of Zang (Tibetan) People who mainly live on stock farming. After visiting, drive to Aba Autonomous Prefecture of Tibetan and Qiang Minorities

Today's tour begins with visiting Village Zhonglu to the Watchtower in Sopo village, passing by Barkam. Zhonglu Tibetan Village is the best-preserved Gyarong Tibetan community in Danba County. Not far from the county seat, the town retains the traditional architecture and way of life of Gyarong Tibetans. Afterwards, we will drive to Sopo village for overngiht stay

Morning we will drive to Tagong. Upon arrival, visit monastery Lhagang (Tagong Si), Peace Dharma (including Gyergo Nunnery of Nun Temple, Dashijing Wall). Tagong Temple is located in Kangding City, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway Line, about 400 kilometers apart from Chengdu City. With a history of more than a thousand years, it is an important sacred place of pilgrimage for Tibetan people in Khampa area. Overnight stay in Xinduqiao

Today we will keep driving to the “world highland city" Litang (4014 m), which is the homeland of the 7th Dalai Lama. Upon arrival, we visit Changqingchunke'er Monastery (also admits as Litang monastery), developed by the 3.th Dalai Lama in the year 1580, has become the largest monastery of the Gelukpa Sect in south Kham.

Today we will drive to the next stop Kangding, the capital city of Ganzi Tibetan Prefecture, which is also well-known for the folk song of Kanding Love Song. Upon arrival, head to Kangding Temple, which is one of the few monasteries in China that integrates Tibetan and Chinese culture

Delighted buffet at the hotel and we will drive to Shangli Ancient Town, a famous Historical and Cultural Town under Provincial-level Protection, situated 27km north on the downtown of Ya’an City. It is one of the Four Great Ancient Towns in Sichuan, with well-preserved styles and features of primitive simplicity of the Ming and Qin Dynasties, charming sceneries, precious revolutionary relics, the town is a significant dak of the former southern Silk Road from the ancient pathways in Linqiong to Ya’an. Visit of the giant panda at China Giant Panda Breeding and Research Institute in the Bifeng Xia Gorge (Green Peak Gorge) en route. Keep driving on the Leshan for overnight stay. 

Morning visit Leshan Giant Buddha, a huge statue carved into the side of Lingyun Mountain, is the tallest and largest Buddha in the world. It is carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain with a delicate design of the drainage system. It was included by UNESCO on the list of World Heritage sites.

After lunch, drive to the Shunan Bamboo Sea, which is the natural bamboo forest scenic area with the largest concentration in the world. It has a long history of the cultural landscape of bamboo culture, bamboo ecological leisure vacation tourism destination. Afterwards drive to Luzhou for overnight stay.

Morning meet the guide and driver at the hotel, hoping the car to Yaoba Ancient Town, which lies in the west of Hejiang County and is at the junction of the three counties-Jiang, Na, and He. It used to be an indispensable pathway to enter Guizhou from Sichuan in ancient times.
