5 Days Western Sichuan Adventure Tour

Take a morning flight to Chengdu, we will pick you up from the airport exit and drive you to Kangding. On the way, you will visit the Shangli Ancient Town, a famous historical town in Sichuan, and also the Southern Silk Road in ancient times. the town is surrounded by mountains and rivers, it still retains many stilted building in Ming and Qing Dynasty. Arrive in Kangding, check in your hotel and have a good rest.

Today we will depart from Kangding to Danba with the stunning scenery along the way, visit Tagong Temple after crossing the Zheduo Mountain. Tagong Temple is a famous Sakya (Huajiao) temple in Ganzi Prefecture. With a history of more than a thousand years, it is an important sacred place for Tibetans to worship in the Kham region. Then pay a visit to Muya Pagoda, It was built in 1997 by Zhuqing Temple, one of the six Buddhist temples of the Ningma. Here you will explore the Buddhism culture and history. After that, we will also visit the Nunnery and Huiyuan Temple. Arrive in Danba, enjoy a tour at the Jiaju Tibetan Village, one of the most beautiful ancient rural towns.

Today we will head to Mt. Suguniang with about 2hrs driving. On the way, visit the Zhonglu Tibetan Village, which is located in the northeast of Danba County, You will see the ancient building with a long history. Then pay a visit to Wori Tusi Village, explore the local lifestyle and culture. If the weather is fine, we will enjoy the sunset of Mt. Siguniang.

Full day sightseeing in Mt. Siguniang, if the weather is good, we can also enjoy the sunrise of Mt. Siguniang. Siguniang Mountain is a paradise for hikers. The canyon mountain road is rugged and narrow, and the flowered alpine meadows are gorgeous. We will start today's hiking tour in Changping Valley, mainly composed of forests, canyons and snowy mountains on the top of the canyon. There are Zhangmuzhai, Lama Temple, Ganhaizi, and spectacular waterfalls in the scenic area.

We will back to Chengdu today. On the way, visit Wolong China Giant Panda Garden, The largest captive population of giant pandas. Here, you can explore the daily life of the cute pandas, and see them eating bamboo at their active time. Then visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, which is the great technological achievement of ancient China. For more than 2,300 years of irrigation, Dujiangyan has benefited the local people just as it prevents Min River basin from annual flooding and made the ancient Shu State a famed 'land of abundance'. This system still plays an indispensable function in agriculture.
