The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, also known as Xia River or the Three Gorges, is the general name of the three gorges of Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. It is located on the main stream of the Yangtze River in Chongqing, Enshi Prefecture and Yichang City. It starts from Baidi City, Fengjie County, Chongqing City in the west, and reaches Nanjin Pass, Yichang City, Hubei Province in the east, with a total length of 193 kilometers and a high terrain in the west and low terrain in the east. It is one of the ten cultural symbols of Chongqing and one of the ten scenic spots in China.
