The Huangtengxia Canyon Rafting, known as the “King of Canyon Rafting,” has a drop of nearly 168 meters and is highly thrilling. The scenic area also features the Tianmen Hanging Corridor (a glass suspension bridge) and Mountain Road Trolley. At night, the light show and musical waterfalls on the Tianmen Hanging Corridor are also very spectacular.

The Huangtengxia Canyon Rafting is located in Qingyuan, Guangdong, and is acclaimed as the “Mini Jiuzhaigou Valley.” It is one of the most attractive canyon rafting in China. The entire course spans 4.8 kilometers, with a total drop of 168 meters, a maximum drop of 12 meters, and over 130 different drop sections. Visitors can choose from the full-length adventurous drift, the warrior drift, or the scenic drift, experiencing varying levels of thrill and beautiful scenery.

The Mountain Road Trolley is located in the Huangtengxia National Park in Qingyuan. It starts at the upper station of the cable car and ends at the lower station, covering a total length of about 1,800 meters. The trolley winds down the mountain, propelled by the natural gradient, taking approximately 15 minutes for the entire journey. It is thrilling and fun. The sides of the track are lined with tires for protection, and a safety net is installed around it to ensure security, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.

The Tianmen Hanging Corridor is an integrated glass bridge project featuring sound, light, glass, and waterfalls. Supported by three reinforced concrete-steel structural columns, it resembles a pair of crossed tennis rackets, with a vertical height of over 500 meters from the ground. It boasts the world's longest and widest glass suspension bridge, as well as the largest circular musical waterfall. During the day, visitors can enjoy the views of the Huangtengxia Grand Canyon, while at night, the bridge is illuminated by over 2,000 lights, creating a dreamlike light show.

Best Time to Visit


The best seasons to visit Huangtengxia are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these seasons, the climate is pleasant and the scenery is beautiful, making them ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

Spring: The weather is warm, plants are rejuvenating, and flowers are in full bloom, making it perfect for spring outings and flower viewing. At this time, the waterfalls in Huangtengxia have abundant water flow, creating picturesque landscapes.

Autumn: The weather is cool, and the mountains are covered with red maple leaves, making it the best time for red leaves viewing and hiking.

Additionally, summer (June to August) is hot, but the waterfalls and streams in Huangtengxia provide a great place to cool off, and are perfect for experiencing water activities like canyon rafting.
