Day 1Chengdu Arrival

Welcome to Chengdu, the Teahouse-hopping and Chilies in China. Upon arrival, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel for a rest. The rest of the day is your own leisure time.

Day 2Chengdu City Tour

We start the trip to Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jedi). The area is vast to walk around. The enclosures for the pandas are divided into three parts, including an adult area, juvenile Pandas, and the breeding center with the tiny babies. It was lots of fun to watch them interact with each other and their environment.

Continue visiting People's Park. The park was built in 1911. It is now a relaxing place for locals. Enjoy the delicacy scenery and appreciate various flower shows. Drink tea is a must-do thing for you. Spend one afternoon, order a pot of tea and do nothing but relax. 

Then visit today's final site Kuan & Zhai Alley, a relatively well-preserved ancient street in Qing Dynasty. It is a famous commercial and cultural pedestrain street in China. There are many delicious food, and you can enjoy your lunch here.

Day 3Drive to Dujiangyan Irrigation System

Morning our professional and friendly guide will meet you up in the hotel lobby by holding a sign of your name on it. We will drive to Dujiangyan (40 minutes). Get into the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. For thousands of years, it has helped to make Sichuan a prosperous agricultural province in China. Walk across a bridge, and climb up the hill to see Taoist temples on the mountain. If you don't want to climb uphill, you can get back by the electronic cart.

 

Then we will drive about 2 hours to Mount Qingcheng. It has a beautiful peak near the city, and another notable peak sits behind it. These peaks are called "Front Mountain" and "Back Mountain". Enjoy the temples and beautiful scenery on the mountain.

Day 4Chengdu Departure

Today our journey comes to an end after a good breakfast. You will be transferred to the airport or train station based on your schedule. Wish you a pleasant journey!

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.
