Six Banyan Temple is located on Liurong Road in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It was originally built in the third year of the Datong era of the Liang Dynasty (AD 537) and is one of the "Four Great Temples" of Guangzhou. The most famous structure within the temple is the Liurong Pagoda, also known as the Thousand Buddhas Pagoda, which stands 57 meters tall, with nine visible storeys and a total of 17 hidden levels inside. Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty once inscribed the name "Six Banyan" for the temple, which is named after the six ancient banyan trees inside.

Nanhua Temple is located in Shaoguan City. It was originally built in the first year of the Tianjian era of Emperor Wu of the Southern Dynasty's Liang Dynasty (AD 502). It is one of China's famous Buddhist temples and the birthplace of the "Southern School of Zen" promoted by the Sixth Patriarch Huineng. The temple covers an area of over 12,000 square meters. Existing structures include the Caoxi Gate, the Releasing Pond, the Baolin Gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Sutra Repository, the Lingzhao Pagoda, and the Sixth Patriarch Hall, and others. Nanhua Temple is renowned for its profound historical and cultural heritage and unique architectural style, and is acclaimed as the crown of Lingnan Zen temples.

Donghua Temple is located on Donghua Mountain in Wengyuan County, Shaoguan City. It was originally built during the Tang Dynasty and is a renowned Buddhist holy site in Guangdong Province. The temple houses a large number of cultural relics, such as relics of the Buddha and a large bronze bell, which attract many believers to come and pay homage.

The temple is built against the mountain, with a unique architectural style known as the “pineapple dome,” which is a rare masterpiece of temple architecture in China. The temple is a popular place for worshipers. Two cypress trees within the temple are known as the “marriage trees,” attracting many people to pray for blessings.
